We are currently looking for a Class 1 Heavy Truck Driver who will be responsible for the safe operation of EDF Plus transport vehicles, as well as the delivery and movement of handling and lifting equipment. The primary objective is to ensure reliable and secure transport while optimizing routes and complying with road regulations.

Responsabilites

  • Safely operate heavy vehicles to transport handling and lifting equipment (aerial work platforms, telescopic forklifts, hydraulic scaffolding, etc.))
  • Ensure proper loading, unloading, and securing of transported equipment
  • Plan and optimize routes to meet delivery deadlines and minimize downtime
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Comply with all regulations related to heavy vehicle operation and road safety rules
  • Complete transport-related documentation (logbooks, inspection reports, etc.)

Required Skills

  • Valid Class 1 driver’s license
  • Between 3 and 5 years of proven experience as a Class 1 driver operating heavy vehicles, preferably in the construction or handling equipment sector
  • Good knowledge of safety rules and regulations related to heavy goods transportation
  • Ability to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Capability to safely handle lifting and handling equipment
  • Excellent organization and time management skills to meet delivery schedules

Nice to Have

  • English speaking skills 
  • Basic mechanical knowledge to perform preliminary diagnostics
  • Proficiency with GPS tools and fleet management software
  • Certification for operating forklifts
